Hey its been a while...

But wow man. You've grown musically so much over the last few years man. It really shows through. I'm not sure where you plan to take your music these days, I remember you talking about VG music production. You definitely have the talent to pull emotion into your music. This one especially.
This song... wow... It's deep. I don't really know what to say bro. It just grabs you and you can't escape it. It's so simple but complex all at the same time. This took a lot of talent. I know I said this in the past a lot but man I'm impressed. Your old stuff was good but this... this is truely professional work. To combine 2 such aspects of this song so perfectly... I don't even realize its classical and trance(a little DnB) put together. It is something all of its own.
Keep it up man, and I know you can go a long way with your music if you really want to.

:-)
I don't really know what to say haha. I am very flattered.
I am scared to try and make a career out of my music so I still do it on the side, this was one of the first songs I actually had inspiration to do :-)

But thank you for your kind review and for still keeping in touch!! I haven't heard from you in forever!

hm...

Don't be discurraged by my rating. Not really enough going on here... your main melodys are much too soft compared to the percussions which seemed to be most of what you heard. And since your melody is of such low freq. and the percussions are louder and sharper and theres not much else going on other than a low freq bassline, your ears tend to focus on the percussion rather than the main body of the song.

This is very early stage, but can definitely become a good song. Just keep at it and do your best. Good luck!

1.49? pfft! should be in the low 3's so I'll throw my 5.25 X 5 which brings it to a... 2.33... wish I could do more for ya.

hanorotu responds:

I appreciate it. I will keep on at it :D

very simple, very good...

I like songs that try to be too much. Not meaning this as an insult to you. I think this is simplistic and very well done. Things I really enjoy. It wouldn't hurt this to have a little bit more going on for filler, but it aint needed. Which ever way you go when you finish this, I'm sure it will turn out great! I'm afraid of this getting trolled so I'm throwing my 5.25 voting power at this with a 5 to keep it going :) Want to vote 4.2-4.3 so 5 will do :)

Mr-green-apple responds:

thx homie. a review is awesome but a 5 is fucking fantastic X P thx for listening

too good to be so low.

I'm gonna give you a fair chance at this. I think this is a 4 to 4.2 but voting 5 as theres no way it should be 3.2 as is it current. Enjoy my 5.25 votes ;)

DJ-BloodWraith responds:

=D Thanks dude!

Buy another Gig of ram :p

We can't have talent like this bogged down in CPU usage issues can we? :p

The-XI responds:

Haha, I'm using a laptop now. Much more powerful =)

Nice Intro to NG

ah..... yes, a very nice song, good and original. Nice and soft, very soothing. A great change of pace. Thank you.

I am a great fan of piano in techno/trance and even classical piano so I may be a little biased to this :D

Ok to do this right now.

The beginning is good, starts out classical-ish but immediately tells the listener no with the small bass sound in the backround, good choice. Then it quickly cuts in a bit and I must say I'm impressed, especially for your first NG sub, you musta spent a lot of time working on this.

The song is actually quite simple sounding, another one of my likes. You did something most new audio artists never do, you mastered this. I hear NO distortion.

Your talent is good, I can see a lot of great things from you. Before you end it and everything gets crazy, its really good, and sounds like its about to do a MAJOR transition, but instead it ends, and not too well. I think you need to find a better ending. I was disappointed there, the only disappointment in the whole song.

I think continuing with your build up into a massive blast that echoes into the distance would make a much more suiting ending.

On a side note, I like how you tried not to overdo the claps and mixed with the the drums, they sound similar so it blends well, but sound different enough to not sound repetitive and dumb. You seem to know how to keep the song flow without really dropping its quality or feel.

Keep it up, can't wait to hear your next song, any realease date you can guesstimate?

Also what prog do you use? I would guess FL 5.0 Studio Ed. Am I right?

F1uk3 responds:

I very much appreciate your compliments. Even more though, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to point out areas where I could improve. I plan to eventually remake the song, bearing in mind many people's (e.g. you) remarks.

Do you think I should just change the ending? Are there any other areas in the song that you would say could use improvement?

Nice.

As to the Legendary Comment by someone, Paradise on E is good, but B0UNC3 overdid it... I began to feel like most of his songs were just another version of Paradise on E.

But this song, this is good. Totally different from most of whats out there, which is what makes a legendary song legendary. If its sounds like something you've heard before its not gonna cut it. I can't think of anything that I can relate this to. By any chance to you listen to FC Kahuna? I guess this could be similar in the fact of its out there style. But yea, this is solid. I like it. Not sure if its my basic speakers but is this even bassy? I can hear this massive low volume low freq in the backround but I'm not sure if it plays all the time. I need to get some better speakers. Anyways, this is great, good job!

LaymanLove responds:

Hey man, I've never heard of FC Kahuna, but I will definitely check that out. The massive low Freq is the bassline, my favorite part of the song!

Legendary is a matter of perception anyway, and even so, I think it is linked to time. For example, Dreamscaper's Miniature Fantasy, the highest rated trance track submitted prior to 2005 (up for more than 2 years now), is worthy of "Legendary". But even then, that's only within Newgrounds.

Thanks for the review, Fuel. Keep on listenin, I got a few good things on the way!

LL

Vengaboys are back in town eh?

Nice little midi-like version of Boom Boom Boom by Vengaboys. Didn't think they were still in anyones playlists anymore. I remember listening to this all the time on old MC Mario CD's lol. Back before I got really into dance/trance.

You got a 9 on originality from me, which is rare PERIOD for the fact that this is the first time I heard of anyone remixing/remaking/midi-ing a Vengaboys song :p
You gave me quite a chuckle so I like you now! heh

Nice job lol.

Do I get 5's for getting the actual title/artist 100% correct? :p

Flashburn responds:

I guess Ill throw you a few because its been guessed already.. haha

Wow

Dude I'm impressed.

Well it starts off really upbeat and pretty fun. I mean, its a really different/original thing.
Then it drops out and this massive low freq bass comes. *Drool*

Now your old evil trance style comes in and then again transforms into another different song.

Geez dude... theres so many different styles in this song its kool. Its like your showing off your many talents in one song ;)

It's not one of my fav's as something I'd listen to all the time, but as far as the song goes, its a masterpeice and VERY deserving of a VERY high rating. Good job!

Pandora-Tranquil responds:

lol you will always be my best and favorite fan.

This song is nothing compared to my new stuff tho!

Fun

This is a pretty uplifting fun song, yet its still pretty slow and trancey which makes it VERY kool in its own right.

Now this is a pretty different song compared to what we're used to seeing on NG. And that is, this ACTUALLY sounds like it took more than a few days. I mean, this seems like an actual song, a real project. And it sounds pro.

But what out. On NG, if its good, and on top of the ratings people bomb it 0 to get it out of the way fast cause they don't wanna compete with it. Thats why NG is a bad place to have your music. I suggest you look for other sites right away.

NG is good for crit and getting your stuff heard, and a free web host. But try looking for other sites like garageband.com which is run/operated partly by Ex-Beatles producer Sir George Martin. That site actually gets people noticed by the industry and gets artists signed. You'll learn a lot there, and from other sites/artists you get into contact with.

You have great potential. I wish you the best of luck in your musical career should you choose to pursue it!

Bytt-Batteriet responds:

Hey, thank you. you are very helpful. Im actually surprised that someone would take there time to write this much about my song. But what your saying is true. some people on newgrounds dont respect the music that gets put on here. I think I will take you advice by putting my music more diversly spread throughout the internet. Thanks for the review.
